We were tasked with facilitating the housing for a full company relocation, involving 70 employees moving from Latin America to Luxembourg simultaneously. This case study outlines how we managed the scale of this operation while maintaining impeccable service standards.
Moving 70 individuals and families at once from South America to Europe presents unique hurdles. The Luxembourg housing market is notoriously tight, with high demand often outstripping the supply of quality furnished units.
Sourcing this quantity of compliant inventory within a compressed timeframe was the primary challenge. Furthermore, this was a significant cultural and geographical transition for the employees. The housing solution needed to provide an immediate sense of stability and comfort to mitigate the stress of the move.
Success relied on our ability to rapidly mobilise our extensive network of verified properties. We consolidated a portfolio of high-quality serviced apartments across Luxembourg City and surrounding areas to meet the diverse needs of the 70-person cohort.
Crucially, every unit selected had to be ready for immediate municipal registration. This was vital to ensure compliance with immigration requirements upon arrival, allowing the employees to receive their tax cards and social security numbers without delay. We managed the entire booking and vetting process centrally, relieving the Tenaris HR team of significant administrative burdens.
International relocation is inherently stressful. It is common for transferred employees to experience friction with their new environment, and these frustrations are often reported back to HR departments.
In this specific scenario, the transcontinental move was complex for the staff. However, despite the general challenges of settling into a new country, Tenaris HR reported zero complaints regarding the accommodation or the service provided by StaysCo.
